Space Chase returned to Match Masters in the v5.619 update, described by Candivore as simplified and redesigned for smoother play.
If you played it before the redesign, some things work the same and some things are different. If you are new to it, the concept is straightforward once you understand what actually moves the rocket and what the checkpoints do.
What Space Chase Is
Space Chase is a temporary event, not a permanent game mode. It appears periodically in the left side of the Home tab when it is active and disappears when the event window closes.
The format is a progression track. You play Daily Mode matches. Each win moves your rocket one step forward along a path toward the Grand Prize at the final level. Losses push you back to your most recent checkpoint rather than all the way to the start.
It runs independently of the main ranked match system. Your trophies and rank progression continue normally while Space Chase is active. It is a separate layer on top of your regular play.
Space Chase is listed under Temporary Events in Candivore’s help center. It is not always available. When it is active, you find it on the left side of the Home tab. If you do not see it there, the event is not currently running.

Where to Find It
Open Match Masters and look at the left side of the Home tab. When Space Chase is running, it appears there as its own event entry alongside any other active events.
Tapping the Space Chase tile opens your rocket’s current position on the event path and shows you the upcoming checkpoint and the distance to the Grand Prize.
Core Rules: How the Rocket Moves
This is the part most players get confused about. The rules are actually simple.
Only Daily Mode wins move the rocket
Each win in a Daily Mode match moves your rocket forward exactly one step. The type of Daily Mode does not matter. Any Daily Mode win counts. Ranked matches, tournament matches, and other modes do not move the rocket. Daily Mode wins only.
One win equals one step Always
There is no bonus movement for winning by a large margin, activating a multiplier, or being on a win streak. Every Daily Mode win moves the rocket one step, no more. Consistency matters more than impressive single-match performance.
Losing sends you back to your last checkpoint
If you lose a Daily Mode match, your rocket retreats to the most recent checkpoint you passed. It does not go all the way back to the beginning. This is why reaching checkpoints as fast as possible is the most important strategic priority in Space Chase.
Progress does not carry between events
Candivore confirms this directly in their help center. When Space Chase ends and returns in a future run, every player starts from the beginning again. Progress from a previous Space Chase session is gone. Each event run is completely fresh.
I wasted two days in the old Space Chase trying to push from the middle of the board without a checkpoint, then lost three matches in a row and went almost all the way back to the start. Checkpoints Explained
Checkpoints are the most important mechanic in Space Chase. Understanding them changes how you play the event.
Reaching a checkpoint does two things: saves your progress so a loss only sends you back to here, and gives you a reward for making it this far.
When your rocket reaches a checkpoint space, two things happen simultaneously.
First, your progress is saved at that exact position. From that point forward, any match you lose only sends your rocket back to this checkpoint, not further back. If you were previously at a checkpoint five spaces behind, you no longer need to worry about losing all that ground again.
Second, you receive a reward just for reaching the checkpoint. You do not need to reach the Grand Prize to collect checkpoint prizes. They pay out as you hit each one.
Think of checkpoints as your floor, not your ceiling. Once you pass one, you can never fall below it again in this event run. The goal of your early play in Space Chase should be reaching the first checkpoint as fast as possible, then the second, and so on. The Grand Prize is the destination, but checkpoints are what protect your journey.

The Grand Prize
The Grand Prize sits at the final level of the Space Chase path. It is the biggest single reward the event offers.
Candivore does not publish the exact Grand Prize contents in advance since it varies between event runs. What stays consistent is that it is the highest-value reward available and it can only be collected by reaching the final level before the event closes.
If the event ends before your rocket reaches the final level, you do not receive the Grand Prize. The rewards from any checkpoints you reached are yours to keep regardless.
Checkpoint rewards are yours whether or not you finish the event. The Grand Prize is not. If you reach checkpoint 3 of 5 and the event closes, you keep the rewards from checkpoints 1, 2, and 3. You do not receive the Grand Prize. This is why playing consistently through the full event window matters rather than saving your best play for the end.

Here is how to reach the grand prize. Follow all these strategies for better results:
Sprint to the first checkpoint immediately
When Space Chase starts, your only goal is reaching checkpoint 1 as fast as possible. Until you hit it, a single loss sends you back to the very beginning. Do not pace yourself. Play as many Daily Mode matches as you can in the first few hours.
Use your strongest booster in Daily Mode
Daily Mode wins move the rocket. Losses set you back. Higher win rates per session mean faster checkpoint progress and fewer setbacks. This is not a situation to conserve your best boosters. Bring what wins matches.
Stop playing when you are on a losing streak
Three Daily Mode losses in a row while between checkpoints costs you ground you have to re-earn. Walking away for an hour and returning fresh is better than grinding through a bad session and sending your rocket further back with each match.
Play daily through the full event window
Because progress does not carry between Space Chase events, completing the event requires consistent play across its full duration. Missing two or three days in the middle of a short event window makes the Grand Prize very hard to reach.
